Our track record covers major drinks brands, both in creative campaigns and on client side. Our team has worked with Bells Scotch Whisky, Chivas Regal, Captain Morgan, Belhaven Beers, Bavaria Lager, B&B Liqueur, Old Pulteney and Bowmore Islay Single Malt (which broke new ground in whisky marketing and won two Effectiveness Awards from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising).
Energy / Utilities
For a creative agency, we don’t half know how to work with clients in regulated industries with complex stakeholder environments and challenging customer experience issues. Our experience includes working with SSE, Airtricity, British Gas, M&S Energy and Scottish Water (for whom we’ve won numerous awards including gold at the Marketing Society Star Awards).
The first financial services business we ever worked on was Scottish Amicable… and that was their demutualisation campaign. Since then our team has worked with a ‘whos-who’ in FS on both sides of the Atlantic including Franklin Templeton, Prudential, Jefferies, RBS, Halifax, Visa, Met Life, MoreTh>n, NASDAQ, BlackRock and the CFA Institute.
We won the IPA’s global health award for our work with NHS Education. We won the Design & Digital Innovation Awards for our work with Glasgow University’s iconoclastic After Now programme. We launched the world’s first anti-stigma campaign for mental health. We helped develop Scotland’s world-leading Patient Safety Programme. We’ve conducted award-winning campaigns on Covid compliance for young people, under-age sex and consent, steps for stress, active lifestyles and smoking cessation.
The sector has changed and is changing still – with dramatic shifts in the expectations of students and parents. Universities we’ve worked with include UCL (ranked among world’s top 10 univerisities), ancient institutions like Universities of of Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as modern universities like Surrey and Salford. Our recent work with UCL on branding and student experience won at the Heist Awards and CUBO Awards.
Some memberships are fun, like when we launched the world famous Loch Lomond Golf and Country Club. Some are serious. We re-branded AIMR as the global CFA Institute – a big deal in the financial world. Indeed, some memberships can be a matter of life and death, like our work with the UK’s medical defence union, MDDUS.
Turning policy into effective practical change is an art (mixed in with a bit of behaviour change science). We’ve conducted public campaigns on health and wellbeing, patient safety, early years development and property regulation, as well as democratic participation. Experience includes the NHS, Health Improvement Scotland, Scottish Government, the Electoral Commission, Liverpool City Council and more.
